Seldom do students and teachers practice gratitude and self-analysis like in our Latinos in Action...
School is out for our student, but many of our teachers stayed an extra week to be students themselves. Provo City School District educators attended the Provo City School District’s annual Summer Institute from May 30 to June 1, 2017 to learn how to be more effective educators and improve their skills in the classroom.
Educators chose from a variety of sessions to get the most beneficial instruction for their individual needs. Instructional speakers included Ainsley Rose, Kara Vandas, Steve Ventura and Ken O’Connor.
Ainsley Rose is a Visible Learning Associate. Kara Vandas is a co-author of Partnering with Students: Building Ownership of Learning. Steve Ventura is a contributor to Activate: A Leader’s Guide to People, Practices, and Processes and contributor to Data Teams: The Big Picture, Looking at Data Teams through a Collaborative Lens. Ken O’Connor is the author of A Repair Kit for Grading and author of How to Grade for Learning.
Educators are excited to implement what they have learned into the next school year!
