Rock Canyon Wax Museum

Elvis, George Washington and Bob Ross were a few of the many historical figures featured in Rock Canyon’s fifth grade wax museum last Friday. After a month of research, the students built a presentation board and composed a small summary on their personal hero in preparation for the event.

“Our fifth grade students put a lot of hard work into researching everything about who they chose to represent,” said rock canyon employee Ashley Miller. “It was so fun getting to see the creativity each student had into making themselves look identical to the individual they did their project and research on!”

Most wax museums have a button next to the figurine that (when pressed) replay a small summary of that person’s accomplishments, but Rock Canyon students had a special surprise for their guests.

When guests arrived and stood in front of the students’ station, the students would recite a facts and stories about characteristics they admired from their hero. To them, their figure helped them understand change and how the society we live in came to be.

We want to wish the students of Rock Canyon a big congratulations on executing another successful wax museum!
