Many great teachers aren’t heroic by any desk-wobbling speech but by quiet, unembellished time with our youth. It’s measured in the hours we spend thinking about students or the minutes after class dialing in on a unit. People like Lakeview Elementary teacher, Linda Moser, stand out as a model for many for the many hours they put into teaching to ensure great care for our children, and we are glad to celebrate and congratulate her for receiving the Provo Way Award.
The Provo City School District and Board of Education awarded five Provo Way awards last month. The Provo Way Award is an opportunity for the district to celebrate the positive things students, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff do for the community.
Moser is a longstanding centerpiece of Lakeview Elementary; many students have begun their academic careers over the years, and many more will grow under her tutelage. She’s a teacher who is willing to put in the time for each and every student. To quote Lakeview Elementary Social Worker and Nominator Shelby Moss:
“I nominated Miss Moser because she dedicates so much of her time to you all, individualizing her class and ensuring you’re all caught up. She cares about your academic growth. She’s been here for a long time, spends a lot of extra time caring for you all, and dedicates so much to Lakeview.”
We commend her for receiving the Provo Way Award and express sincere gratitude for her ceaseless commitment to countless pupils year after year.
Thank you, Moser, and congratulations.
