Policy No. 3205 Right to Due Process (Students)
In the event a student disciplinary issue arises, Provo City School District seeks to resolve any accompanying disagreement and to insure that the student’s right to due process is protected. To achieve this, procedures have been developed which outline the appropriate notifications required following an incident and prior to a hearing, the process and required time constraints for decision appeals, and the precise actions required at each step of the appeal process.
The Board directs the Superintendent to develop procedures which will best assist students, parent(s)/guardian(s), school personnel, or any other persons involved in an incident in coming to an agreement during the process of appeals.
