Recently, Spring Creek celebrated their annual Freedom Week Assembly. Each year, this assembly is hosted by Spring Creek’s PTA and revolves around the theme of America and freedom. The assembly is the conclusion of a week-long celebration of freedom. The specific theme for this year was “Freedom Begins with Me”.

Students were thrilled to watch the BYU ROTC perform, listen to Mayor Michelle Kaufusi speak, and hear from Congressman John Curtis. However, the highlight of the assembly was the speeches of some of Spring Creek’s own students. The students spoke about their heritage and ways that they can make a difference. They did a fantastic job and definitely represented the “Freedom Begins with Me” theme very well.

The assembly concluded with musical numbers from the student body, complete with a closing number that included flashlights and beautiful harmonies.

Thanks to the Spring Creek PTA, Congressman Curtis, Mayor Kaufusi and all students and faculty involved that helped to make this assembly a highlight of the year.
