“My nomination actually came at a time when we were kind of shorthanded at the office,” shared Benjamin Driggs, Provost Elementary Technology Specialist. Ben’s referring to Julia Brady, Provost Elementary’s Office Attendance and Registar Clerk, whom he nominated for the Provo Way award. “She sort of had to run the office by herself. She handled the door, all of the phone calls, and she called teachers—she did it all.”

Julia is someone deserving of praise and acclaim, which is exactly why she earned the Provo Way Award last month.

The Provo City School District and Board of Education awards five monthly Provo Way awards. The Provo Way Award is an opportunity for the district to celebrate the positive things students, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff do for the community.

This week, we congratulate Julia Brady for receiving the Provo Way Award. Exceptional office attendants and registrars can juggle at an awe-inspiring pace; they ensure seamless administrative operations by managing daily correspondence, organizing files, assisting visitors, and more, while a registrar clerk maintains accurate records, processes registrations, and facilitates document retrieval in a district office setting. It’s an extremely tall order that takes a lot of practice.

Ben notes that Julia seemed stressed when she started three years ago, but nowadays she’s the proverbial Swiss army knife of office work. As he mentioned earlier, Julia proved she can conduct office operations entirely on her own and is an integral part of Provost, to quote his nomination:

“You come to this moment, and she’s got this office running to a tee. She’s a master of PowerSchool now. She is a huge part of keeping Provost running as great as it does. All the teachers know her, and they love her. We love working with her here at Provost.”

Thank you, Julie, and congratulations.
