The District Administration would like to thank all employees for their continued contributions to a sustainable energy management program.
Thanks to those efforts we have avoided large increases to our utility budgets the last two years. As rates increase year after year, reducing our overall use is key to helping maintain a sustainable utility budget.
As we head into spring and begin to have warmer weather, we’d simply like to remind you of the guidelines for occupied room temps as outlined in Board Policy 6850 and related procedures.
During cooling season occupied room temps should be at 72- 76 degrees Fahrenheit. We realize there are times when exceptions may need to be made. In such cases please contact your site administrator, who will work in coordination with the site facilities staff and energy manager. Air conditioning from central plants will begin no sooner than the first day of school after spring break.
Thank you for all you do and your efforts to help us maintain a manageable utility budget.
