Jose Ventura has been appointed as the new Assistant Principal at Provo High School. Ventura, who is currently serving as Provo High’s dean of students, will assume his new position on July 1, 2020.
Ventura has worked for the Provo City School District for eleven years. Here, he has taught CTE courses and supervised the day-to-day operations of Provo High. Before he worked for Provo City School District, he worked for Jordan School District. There he taught business, manufacturing and technology at Indian Hills Middle School.
After graduating from UVSC (Utah Valley University) with an Associate of Science, Ventura received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a bachelor’s degree in Marketing Education from Utah State University. He went on to pursue a master’s degree from Southern Utah University where he received a M.A. in Education and Administration. He also has endorsements from BYU in ESL, technology and carpentry.
