Our Child Nutrition Department is dedicated to creating delicious dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Recently, they invited us to Timpview High’s cafeteria to taste the newest additions to the menu, and the results were nothing short of amazing. And it’s all crafted through sustainably sourced, local ingredients.
We challenge you to try these recipes at home. You won’t regret it.
They rolled out two standout recipes: creamy potato soup and made-from-scratch hummus. The soup is a perfect blend of rich, velvety texture and hearty vegetables, while the hummus is smooth, flavorful, and far surpasses any store-bought version.
It’s creamy and delivers warmth and comfort with simple, wholesome ingredients. Crisp potatoes, celery, and just the right amount of seasoning come together in this dish, packing a satisfying punch without being heavy.
Equally impressive is the hummus, crafted from pantry staples: chickpeas, lemon juice, olive oil– fresh, on hand ingredients.
We’re proud of our meal service. It’s delicious, nutritious, and proudly, loyally local. Try our recipes and see what you think!
