Timpview High School’s FBLA recently performed at the Regional Competition at Utah Valley University, netting a 2nd place overall score. Our students studied diligently, aced various tests, flexed on-the-fly roleplay skills, showcased event prep, and, in the end, secured top honors in several categories. Whether through an extensive social media campaign or by creating an industry-standard broadcast video, whether in studying cybersecurity or in learning business calculations, each student tested themselves and consequently grew in the past few months.

For those unfamiliar, FBLA Future Business Leaders of America’s division focuses on academic competitions, leadership development, and educational programs, giving students a well-rounded experience. Club competitions involve written components, such as exams and reports, and interactive sessions where industry professionals act as judges.

We congratulate them for their achievements and for representing Timpview. Moreover, we commend all those who participate; every student leaves a little more emboldened to take action and propel themselves toward their desired careers.

The sheer volume of students competing and placing is commendable, and we thank FBLA Advisor and Teacher Scott Johnson for creating a program that affects so many of our youth.

In this competition, all of our students learned more about future career paths, practiced skills required for future competitions and careers, and bonded with their peers– and that’s an achievement everyone can cheer for.
