Provo City School District maintains the special education records of students who were found eligible and received special educational services until the services were no longer needed.
Each student’s special education records may be considered “no longer needed to provide educational services” and will be destroyed by Provo City School District two years after a student has been declassified from Special Education services, three years after the student graduated or three years after the student turns 22. We will be destroying Special Education records that fit this description January 15, 2020.
A student may claim copies of their records, which might be needed for private, State, or Federal programs before they are destroyed. If so, please contact Lena Vaieland: 801-374-4800 Ext 4936 or email: lenav@provo.edu before December 18, 2019
