There have been a number of decisions made regarding leadership at several of our schools.  They are as follows:

It was previously announced that Gaye Gibbs would be moved to Wasatch to serve as principal beginning on July 1.  Due to some unforeseen circumstances, Gaye will not become principal at Wasatch.

Jess Hansen

Jess Hansen, who currently serves as the assistant principal at Wasatch, will take over as the Interim Principal Jess Hansenat Wasatch beginning on July 1.   Jess has worked in Provo City School District for the past nine years.  She began as a 4th grade teacher at Provost Elementary School, where she was named the Teacher of the Year for the 2014-2015 school year.  Beginning in June 2015, Jensen was a Clinical Faculty Associate within the district.  In this capacity, she mentored, observed, evaluated and provided feedback to teaching interns, student teachers and practicum students from Brigham Young University.  During the 2016-2017 school year, she was an Administrative Intern at Centennial Middle School and she has spent this school year at Spring Creek Elementary School as the Behavior Support Specialist.  Jensen received her Bachelors in Elementary Education with a Science Emphasis from Utah State University.  She then earned her ESL endorsement and Masters of Education, School Leadership from Brigham Young University.

Chris Fuhriman

Chris Fuhriman has been named as the new assistant principal at Wasatch Elementary School.  Chris is currently Chris Fuermanthe assistant principal at Centennial Middle School.  Chris began his teaching career in 2004 at Hobble Creek Elementary School in Nebo School District.  Following seven years there, he taught for two years in Wyoming.  He came to Provo City School District in 2013 and taught at Westridge Elementary School for 4 years.  Chris received his Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and has also completed a M.Ed. in Elementary Education at Southern Utah University and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Brigham Young University.

Brookanne Taylor

Brookanne Taylor has been selected as the new Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School. Brook is Brookanne Taylorcurrently teaching English and ESL at Granger High School in Granite School District, but she started her career teaching 7th and 8th grade. She has worked in multiple leadership roles from coaching sports and coaching instruction to leading collaborative teams. She earned her Bachelors degree in English Education and a Masters of Education degree in ESL Curriculum and Instruction at Utah Valley University. She later earned her administrative license at Utah State University and recently completed the Emerging Leaders Academy through Granite School District.  

Jamie Leite

Jamie Leite has been named the Assistant Principal at Lakeview Elementary School.  Jamie currently works as the Jamie LieteFacilitator at Lakeview.  Jamie began her career as an 8th grade English teacher at Centennial Middle School before moving to Provo Canyon School to teach.  From 2013 to 2017, Jamie was the Dual Language Immersion Coordinator for Provo City School District and she help that some position in Tooele County School District for the 2017-18 school year.  She returned to Provo City School District in 2018 to be the Facilitator at Lakeview.  Additionally, Jamie was the Portuguese Director for Utah Dual Language Immersion for six years.  Jamie received her Bachelors degree in English Teaching from Brigham Young University, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Utah Valley University and a Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah.

Tiffany Evans

Tiffany Evans will become the Assistant Principal at Westridge Elementary School.  Tiffany is currently the Tiffany EvansFacilitator at Sunset View Elementary School.  Tiffany began her career by teaching at Sunset View Elementary School for 6 years.  She spent time as a 1st, 4th and 6th grade teacher.  She became the Title 1 Coordinator for Sunset View Elementary School in 2014 and remained in that position for four years.  She has been the Facilitator at Sunset View for the past year.  Tiffany received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education fro Brigham Young University and her Masters degree in Educational Leadership for Southern Utah University.
