Provost first graders brought the winter weather into their classrooms by building a life-size igloo out of milk jugs.
The students were able to practice both their team-building skills and math skills in an exciting way as they worked together to create their own classroom igloo.
As they built the igloo, they used the milk jug lid colors to make a specific pattern and they were also able to practice addition as they stacked the jugs on top of each other.
Through participating in this activity, students were able to demonstrate their knowledge in a fun hands-on project. The students were thrilled at the outcome of the activity and even got to play in the igloo when they were finished.
