Schools can run in a patchwork jank when missing or with an uninterested Administrative Assistant; with an excellent Administrative Assistant, life seems seamless. From answering phones, greeting visitors, managing records, files, and transcripts, preparing and distributing communications, assisting with school events, managing inventory, and much more, our Administrative Assistants do so much to keep schools running.
And, if you’ve walked through Wasatch Elementary’s front doors, you’ll definitely remember your warm welcome and reception at the front office. Tonja Roberts, Administrative Assistant, sets the tone for your visit and, in many ways, the school’s culture. Provo City School District proudly recognizes Tonja Roberts for her exceptional work and dedication to her school’s students, teachers, and staff.
Tonja has been a vital member of the Wasatch Elementary team for over ten years. During that time, she has gone above and beyond to ensure that every student and staff member feels welcome, supported, and cared for. Her positive attitude, compassionate nature, and tireless work ethic have made her an invaluable asset to the school community.
No one describes Tonja’s value as well as her nominator, Wasatch Teacher Linda Tanner:
“Tonja does a fantastic job welcoming all of our students each morning. She goes all out for announcements every morning. She makes up songs for the announcements; she uses voices; she’s rhyming. Often, we call her just to hear comments to brighten our day. She really is such a lovely person.”
Thank you, Tonja, for making Wasatch and our district a bright and cheery place.
