“I have been consistently impressed with what Melissa does here. She promotes confidence,” said Esther Reid, Provo Way nominator.
Esther is talking about Melissa Brown, a Drama Teacher at Centennial Middle School, who received the Provo Way Award last May through Esther’s nomination. The Provo City School District and Board of Education grant monthly Provo Way awards to celebrate the positive things students, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff do for the community.
Few can create community and an atmosphere of camaraderie through theatre like Melissa can. To further quote Esther’s nomination:
“Students come and watch the shows and cheer each other on. It’s the neatest feeling to see all the support from the audience and their peers.”
Thank you, Melissa, and congratulations.
