We love having the opportunity to explore the district and meet the incredible teachers, ESPs, and administrators that make this district wonderful. Today we get to celebrate Janell Hughes.
Janell, an instructional assistant at Canyon Crest Elementary, received the Provo Way award in April, 2024. Janell is an incredible educator who has earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues.
Through her work with students, her colleagues know that they can achieve a greater outcome with students than they ever thought possible.
“She is a master at connecting with students,” says Sean Edwards, the Principal at Canyon Crest. “She forms positive relationships with families and parents to motivate students.”
Thank you so much for all you do for Provo, Janell. We need people like you in our schools and with our students and staff. You help the educators around you elevate the quality of education for the students you serve. We hope to bring the same level of passion to our work that Janell does every day. Thank you.
