Provo City School District is proud of its PBIS programs and PBIS Coordinators, and among the best of the many great Coordinators is Jeremiah Tijerina at Centennial Middle School.

PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is a proactive approach to creating a positive school culture and improving student behavior. PBIS Coordinators are crucial in assessing data and implementing healing-centered, restorative, and trauma-informed programs.

PBIS Coordinators don’t just aid student success in school; they teach students a way of being.

We proudly celebrate and congratulate Jeremiah Tijerina with the Provo Way Award.

His nomination came from Financial Secretary Liana Mangisi:

“Jeremiah and I are office neighbors. Since day one, I watched him come in and go to work. I admire him for the relationships he instantly made with students, parents– and families. That’s why I nominated him.”

Thank you, Jeremiah, for making Provo City School District a place of learning, healing, and growth.
