“She’s always coming in positive and happy,” said Noelle Lewis, Emma Hernandez’s nominator. Emma, a Teacher at Wasatch, received the Provo Way Award last May through Noelle’s nomination. “She helps not only her kids, but she’s always willing to go above and beyond for the teachers.”
The Provo City School District and Board of Education grant monthly Provo Way awards to celebrate the positive things students, teachers, administrators, parents, and staff do for the community.
This week, we congratulate Emma for receiving the Provo Way Award. Great teachers like Emma understand that learning is about the community, from her students to her fellow instructors, and that helping those around her helps lift everyone’s experience.
“She always takes everything one step further to make these kids feel loved,” Noelle explains. “And to make us, her coworkers, feel valued.”
Thank you, Emma, and congratulations.
