This October, the Provo High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Chapter kicked off their opening social with a few fun-filled activities that strengthened their connection with one another.

Alysha Hughes, FCCLA President, first led the participants in a rousing game of Kahoot!, that tested the group’s knowledge of the family-focused and community-focused mission of the force.

Afterward, students were able to chow down on pizza and cookies while swapping stories, socializing, and meeting their leadership officers. Exciting future events were also discussed. Students were eager to continue the traditional plans of Souper Service Night as well as the STAR competition—which allows students to show off skills they’ve developed throughout the year.

Under the direction of staff advisers Mrs. Camille Williams and Mrs. Diane Cluff, these students are learning how to lead a student-led organization that makes a difference in their school and community.

To keep updated on these events, and others like it, make sure to follow the Provo CTE Instagram account. We can’t wait to see what these students come up with and implement this upcoming year!
