On May 6, two PCSD employees, Carrie Peterson and Ingrid Shurtleff, were honored by the Counseling and Psychology & Special Education Department at Brigham Young University for the annual Excellence in Mentoring award.
This award is given to school district special educators for their exemplary service not only as educators of students with disabilities, but also as mentors to developing teachers.
Carrie and Ingrid convey a positive attitude toward the teaching profession and demonstrate a strong commitment to helping teacher candidates acquire the skills necessary to become effective special educators.
We congratulate them on their excellent work and the receipt of this award. Their names will be displayed on a plaque in the CPSE office at BYU (340 MCKB).
