Policy No. 6800: School Safety and Security Specialist

 The top priority for Provo City School District is to ensure the safety of all students, employees, and community members in our schools and facilities and on our property. To effectively educate our students, the district must ensure the safety and security of all individuals.

The Provo City School District Board of Education and Superintendent are responsible for ensuring that every school provides a safe, secure, and optimal environment for learning and working. In compliance with state laws, they will establish policies and procedures related to School Safety and Security Specialists. Each school is required to have a designated School Safety and Security Specialist who is properly trained and works collaboratively with District and school administration to ensure the safety and security of their school site. The administration of each school will select this specialist from the employees on their respective campus.
