Policy No. 4151 Interscholastic Athletics and Activities
Provo City School District recognizes the benefits derived from promoting student participation in school activity programs. To ensure the effective management of competitive activity programs, procedures have been developed for regulating the maintenance of existing competitive activity programs and the introduction of new programs as interest increases. In accordance with outlined procedures, schools may introduce new competitive activities sponsored by the Utah High School Activities Association (UHSAA).
The Board directs the Superintendent to develop procedures which will facilitate the regulation of both existing and newly introduced competitive activities in schools and provide ways to evaluate if we are providing equitable access to activities for both male and female students.
