Policy No. 3250 Youth in Custody

Provo City School District is concerned with the success of students within the Youth in Custody program and how to successfully facilitate the education of youth in custody. Procedures have been developed for coordinating the transfer and keeping of appropriate records for both long and short term students, ensuring that program teachers and staff are appropriately licensed and trained, and enabling these youth, as far as possible, to continue their education with minimal disruption.

The Board directs the Superintendent to develop procedures to effectively manage youth in this program, and to facilitate and service their education during their time within the district.
