The Provo City School District Board of Education recognizes that the district is a steward of the public’s taxes, provided for the education of students. As such, and in addition to district staff, parents, and students, the public also has an interest in the operations, functions, and accomplishments to the district.

The Board directs the superintendent to create a comprehensive communication plan in an effort to report and be transparent regarding the work going on throughout the district. The plan may include traditional means (printed publications) along with web-based/electronic media.

A report on the communication plan will be provided to the board on an as-requested basis.

An assortment of specific policies and procedures outlining communication practices of the district will be found in Policy Series 7000.
