Policy No. 1001: Board Legal Status

Board Legal Status Body Corporate As provided by Utah state law, the Board of Education of Provo City School District is a body corporate, and has an official seal conformable to its name. Political Subdivision of the State of Utah: The Board of Education of Provo City School District is a political subdivision of the State of Utah. Number of school board members: So long as the Provo City School District retains a student enrollment of 10,000 students and above, the Board of Education will consist of seven (7) members.
