A group of teachers from Provo City School District recently attended the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) conference in Salt Lake City
The annual conference and exposition took place from October 16-18 at the Salt Palace Convention Center. Through attending this conference, teachers were able to hear from distinguished guest speakers and attend various professional development classes. These classes covered topics such as professionalism, teaching tools, increasing student opportunity, learning the content being taught, and much more.
Not only did teachers get to learn from various classes and speakers, but they also had the opportunity to explore the exhibition hall. In the exhibition hall, they could discover booths that contained the latest educational tools and products to better assist their teaching in the classroom.
The group of teachers who attended this conference were able to come home with many different math resources and ideas to better strengthen and improve their classrooms to be the best that they can be.
