Cleaning organizations from around the United States recently gathered in Park City, Utah for the 18th Annual Cleaning Industry Awards Banquet. The event, hosted by the Simon Institute, recognizes the best cleaning organizations in the nation for their efforts to maintain healthy, clean, safe and comfortable buildings for their customers. In order to be considered for the awards, organizations subject their teams to rigorous cleaning inspections that focus on safety, best industry practices and the use of environmentally responsible cleaning chemicals and processes. 

A team of cleaning workers from Amelia Earhart Elementary was pleased to be in attendance at the event and received the following awards: 

  • (OS1) Green Certified program of Excellence for an audit score of 90% or higher 
  • Outstanding Cleaning Worker Medals for the following Employees:
    • Ryan Beal- Head Custodian at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • Jonathan Boswell- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • Nathaniel Campbell- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • Shelbi Campbell- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • James Pickford- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • Natalie Robinson- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School
    • Oaklie Wilson- Cleaning Specialist at Amelia Earhart Elementary School 
  • Provo City School District was also honored to receive the Best Training Program Award for Custodial Operations in 2019.
