Westridge Elementary School is among seven other schools to receive the official state STEM designation by the Utah Board of Education.

Schools completed comprehensive digital portfolios to demonstrate their excellence in STEM education, including student project-based learning, community partnerships and support for teacher professional development. Eight schools were then chosen based on their excellence in each of the categories mentioned above.

Westridge has actively participated in each of the categories, especially project-based learning, as recently highlighted by the state STEM Action Center.

Way to represent, Westridge!
