Curriculum Specialists provide support to teachers by helping create and revise materials used in the classroom. They analyze student data to assess and improve the school’s implementation and evaluation of classroom material– and no one is more suited to aid our district than Carla Johnson, a previous teacher at Timpview for several years and, as the nominators can attest, is sorely missed for her contributions.
We proudly celebrate and congratulate Carla Johnson, Secondary Math Curriculum Specialist, with the Provo Way Award.
Her initial nomination came from Timpview Teacher Moana King.
“We, as teachers, are so grateful for everything you do for us. You always have our back and are always looking out for us. Thank you for helping us– and helping our kids.
Timpview Principal Momi Tu’ua then addressed Carla, recalling her time as a Timpview Teacher.
“What can I say? We absolutely love you– and our children miss you! But you’re helping our teachers help our students now. Your influence and support now expand beyond Timpview to our neighboring secondary schools in the district. We know we have to share you and miss you, but we know that all of our teachers in Provo are gaining from it, in the end.”
Congratulations on the award, Carla. Thank you for supporting our teachers and students.
