Amelia Earhart Elementary’s main administration started off the school year through posting a video that encouraged their students to have “high hopes” and “rise” this school year.

Ryan McCarty, Kylee Perryman and Jonathan Hoehne, who are the Principal, Facilitator and Title 1 Coordinator, got together to create and star in a video that encompassed the Amelia Earhart Elementary traits and theme of the year.

In the video, these three use vials to time-travel to meet influential individuals such as Clara Barton, Amelia Earhart, Abraham Lincoln and many more. As they meet each of these individuals, they learn how that person emulates a specific Amelia Earhart Elementary trait like empathy, perseverance, hard work and being reflective. Different staff and teachers from Amelia Earhart Elementary were dressed as these individuals, making it a fun video for students to watch as they were able to see their teacher dressed in a funny or cool way.

Through creating this video, students are able to learn their schools expectations and theme in a fun, relatable way. This year, the administration and teachers have “high hopes” that their aviators (students) will rise and thus be able to achieve their future goals.

Great job to everyone involved in making this great video!
