New Leadership for 2025-26 School Year

Provo City School District is pleased to announce the following leadership assignments for the upcoming school year. These dedicated educators will continue to guide and support our students, staff, and community with excellence and commitment. All changes in position will go into effect on July 1, 2025.

District Leadership

Nate Edvalson has been selected as the new Special Education Director. Nate is currently the Special Education Director for Canyons School District. He is replacing Suraj Syal, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

The following schools will have changes in their leadership, with the names and titles of individuals changing positions highlighted in bold text.

Elementary Schools

Canyon Crest

Principal: Mark Burge
Assistant Principal Intern: Christine Whatcott

Mark is currently the Principal at Provo Peaks Elementary School.

Rock Canyon

Principal: Karen Brock
Assistant Principal: Deanna Lee

Deanna is currently the Assistant Principal at Lakeview Elementary School.

Provo Peaks

Principal: Ryan McCarty
Assistant Principal: Jeremy Barker

Ryan is currently the Principal at Amelia Earhart Elementary School.

Lakeview

Principal: Jamie Davis-Leite
Assistant Principal: Brian Mangum

Brian is currently the Science and Social Studies Specialist in the district Teaching and Learning Department.

Franklin

Principal: Brookanne Dalby

Brookanne is currently the Principal at Centennial Middle School and Jeanette is currently an Assistant Principal at Centennial Middle School.

Amelia Earhart

Principal: Patricia Blanton

Jason is currently the Principal at Franklin Elementary School.

Additionally, Becky Robinson, who is the current Assistant Principal at Sunset View, will serve as the Science and Social Studies Specialist in the district Teaching and Learning Department.
