Bonnie Tautkus has been named as the new Administrative Assistant for the Board of Education and the Superintendent. She is replacing Shelley Shelton, who is retiring.
Bonnie came to the Provo City School District two years ago with several years of office experience for schools, medical companies, and other businesses. As the assistant to the Assistant Superintendents over Elementary and Secondary Education, she has enjoyed working with district office personnel, school administrators, staff, and Provo families. She graduated from BYU with a B.A. in Chinese, and a minor in French. She has been a substitute teacher, a language teacher, a sales executive, and a freelance writer. Bonnie is a happy mother and grandmother and when she is not with her family, she can usually be found reading in a quiet corner somewhere or watching old movies. She also enjoys hiking, running, and traveling. Bonnie grew up moving every two years and is looking forward to not moving anymore and enjoying a long and settled career in the Provo City School District.
