Karalee Fisher is the new librarian at Sunset View Elementary (her alma mater) this year. Prior to working at Sunset View Elementary, Karalee worked at the BYU library for four years and also volunteered at the Westridge Elementary library.
Her favorite part about working in a media center is interacting with children every day. She says, “I love teaching children about books and other new concepts and seeing the light in their eyes when they connect with something. I love to have fun and make books come to life through dressing up like book characters, reading aloud, and playing games”.
Karalee graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree in Family Life, with an emphasis in human development and a minor in design. She is also hoping to get a Master’s in Library Science.
When she’s not in the media center, Karalee loves to watch movies, spend time with friends and family, shop and read. She also works as a children’s librarian at the Provo City Library in the evenings.
We are very excited to have Karalee as Sunset View’s librarian! The next time you are at Sunset View, make sure to stop by and welcome Karalee to Sunset View.
