As part of the Safety and Security Campaign, we want to inform all families of a significant asset immediately available to you and your loved ones called the SafeUT app.
The SafeUT app provides a way to connect to licensed counselors ready to listen to any sized crisis or concern, or advise you how to work with a loved one going through a crisis.
Those in immediate need of aid can text 741741 or download the free app on their phone.
The SafeUT app acts as a crisis chat and tip line providing real-time crisis intervention for students, parents/guardians, and educators through live chat and a confidential tip line. Learn more at their website here, or download the app through the app store on your phone.
SafeUT also hosts two other apps: SafeUT Frontline and SafeUT National Guard for frontline workers and national guard members, offering more specialized care.
SafeUT Frontline, to quote their site, “The SafeUT Frontline app provides a way for Utah’s law enforcement, fire/EMS, health care providers, and their families to confidentially connect to licensed mental health professionals trained to understand the unique challenges frontline workers face daily. Counselors are available 24/7 to listen, support, and provide essential resources.”
If you or a loved one is a frontline worker needing aid, you can learn more at their website or download “SafeUT Frontline” through the app store on your phone.
SafeUT National Guard, their third app, “provides a way for Utah Air and Army National Guard members, civilian personnel, and their families to connect to licensed mental health professionals trained to understand the unique challenges you face daily.”
If you or a loved one is a Utah Air and Army National Guard member needing aid, you can learn more at their website or download “SafeUT National Guard” through the app store on your phone.
