Former Football Star Bronson Kaufusi Inspires Provo CAPS Students

Bronson Kaufusi, a renowned former American football star, captivated the students of Provo City School District’s Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) as he took the stage on Friday, May 5, 2023. Kaufusi’s visit to CAPS was a memorable event, where he shared his personal experiences and offered valuable insights into building mental strength and resilience.

For the uninitiated, the Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) programs are nationally recognized and innovative high school programs. Students fast forward into their future and are fully immersed in a professional culture, solving real-world problems using industry-standard tools. They are mentored by actual employers, all while receiving high school credit.

CAPS is an example of how business, community, and public education can partner to produce personalized learning experiences that educate the workforce of tomorrow, especially in high-skill, high-demand jobs– and if Professional Football at the highest level, isn’t a high-skill, high-demand career, then no career is, either.

During his speech, Kaufusi emphasized the importance of staying focused on the present moment and the process of achieving one’s desired outcomes. Drawing from his life journey, he inspired the students to adopt a mindset centered around perseverance to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth.
