Edgemont Elementary has been designated as a Platinum STEM School, the highest honor in the Utah STEM School Designation program. The Platinum designation is awarded to schools that demonstrate a comprehensive and integrated approach to STEM learning, and ensure that students are prepared for future academic and career opportunities in these critical fields. Out of Utah’s 835 elementary schools, only 37 have been honored with the Platinum STEM designation.
In celebration of the designation, Edgemont students enjoyed a special presentation of a STEM-focused magic show. The magician used student volunteers to perform his show.
Edgemont Elementary retains its steadfast commitment to excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, and the Platinum designation is symbolic of their prolonged efforts in making their school an innovate and student-based space for learning. We look forward to continuing its journey in STEM excellence, inspiring students to explore and innovate.
