Edgemont Art Teacher Earns Sorenson Legacy Award

Mrs. Mattinson, an art teacher at Edgemont Elementary school, recently received the 2020 Sorenson Legacy Award for Excellence in Elementary Visual Art!

Many nominations were collected from across the state and 15 winners were chosen (Mattinson being one of them). As a recipient of this award, Mattinson will receive a check for $2500 and an additional $2500 check will be sent to the Provo City School District to further support the arts program. 

Later on in the year, Mattinson will be presented an artistic award for display at the Sorenson Legacy Award Annual banquet. 

Congratulations Mrs. Mattinson on this prestigious award and thank you for your contribution to our students’ education!
