DMS AVID Visits UVU Robotics

Through a partnership with our district’s Innovative Learning department, Dixon Middle School’s AVID class (Advancement Via Individual Determination, a program leading students to college placement and academic success) visited UVU School of Education’s Creative Learning Studio to learn the importance of computer science and robotics. The students worked with pre-service teachers and Dr. Krista Ruggles to program a variety of robotics and discover how coding crops up in many aspects of our lives.
