While students had an extra day added to their weekend break, teachers from around the district met together to participate in various training classes.
Throughout the district, many different classes were offered to teachers. Some of the options included “Behavior Management”, “Visible Learning for Literacy”, “Digital Tools for 21st Century Teaching”, “Addressing Learning Targets and Success Criteria”, and many more. Classes were held in each of the schools in the district and teachers were able to choose which classes were of most interest to them.
Teachers also had the opportunity to meet together to brainstorm teaching ideas, plan future lessons, and assess previous lesson plans.
District-Wide Teacher Training Day is a great way for teachers to be trained in new technology, learn new strategies for teaching, and get caught up with any missed work. We are grateful for all of our educators and staff for all that they do and the dedication and hard work they provide to our students.
