Faculty from Canyon Crest attended AVID Summer Institute to help make the 2025-2026 school year the best Canyon Crest has ever seen.
AVID is an acronym that stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination. AVID is an in-school academic college prep support program for grades 4-12 that prepares students for college eligibility and success.
The teachers came away with a sense of empowerment and an eagerness to implement the lessons they learned in their classrooms. From encouraging students to seek out initiative and responsibility to giving students the means to access their potential, the lessons from AVID will be used in the classrooms of Canyon Crest to elevate the students to new heights.
We can’t wait to see the students in the halls of our schools in August.
