At the school board meeting, the Provo City School District Board of Education voted to target Monday, September 21 to move elementary schools to Phase 2 of the Return to School Plan. A tentative target date of Monday, October 5 was also set for secondary schools.
Phase 2 allows all students to attend school on Monday through Thursday following the current early release schedule. Fridays will remain an online day for all students.
The target dates are subject to change as needed. The Safety Committee, which has met daily with the Utah County Health Department, will continue to meet and provide information to the school board as the target dates near. Should current trends worsen, plans may be adjusted. The school board and district are committed to maintaining the safety and quality of education for PCSD staff and students.
More information regarding the proposed moves to Phase 2 will be shared in the coming days. Please check your emails, along with the district website and social media pages to access this information.
