A team of Provo City School District drivers has been out early this morning assessing road conditions. Due to patchy ice conditions, especially at higher elevations, Provo City School District buses will be doing below bench pickups this morning. This effects the Southeast Bench, Northeast Bench, Oak Hills and Sherwood Hills neighborhoods. The below bench pickup areas are as follows:
Southeast Bench
2301 S State Street (UTA stop) 2051 S State Street (UTA stop) Nevada & Slate Canyon Dr. (Below Spring Creek)
Oak Hills, Sherwood Hills, Northeast Bench
820 N 1200 E (NW Corner) 2276 N Temple View Dr. Timpview bus loading zone (NE corner)
Foothill Drive & 650 East
Please have your student(s) picked up at the below bench pickup location nearest to their regular bus stop.
Schools will operate per their normal schedules. Snow plow crews have been working on school properties since late Sunday. As always, schools will work with parents on attendance/tardy issues related to weather if parents believe conditions in your own neighborhood might cause their student to be late for school.
We encourage caution in driving and heightened awareness for students walking to school.
This information can be found in Policy 6607 P1.
