#BehindTheMask of this Superhero is our very own Network Engineer Steve Ritchie.
“To give you a better idea of Steve’s character, I want to share a story,” shares a co-worker. “Early one morning, we had an issue with our network— a critical system our district relies upon. Unknown to Steve, I had already made the change and deployed an update.”
“A few moments later, I hear the entrance doors slam open. Steve is sprinting down the hall towards the network room to fix the issue. I called for Steve to stop, but he didn’t hear me because he was laser-focused.”
“I called again, but he still didn’t hear me, so I had to sprint down the hall to stop him!”
“I think this story illustrates perfectly how reliable and dependable Steve is. The networks that he builds and supports mirrors that dependability.”
Many of Steve’s coworkers agree that one of his top superhero strengths is troubleshooting. “Steve is amazing at troubleshooting,” shared a co-worker. “I have yet to find a problem that he can’t find a solution for.”
“Steve also empowers us to succeed. His leadership makes us feel like we are part of a great team. He is supportive and doesn’t hesitate to thank others.”
After years of working for the Provo City School District, we are proud to have Steve as a seasoned member of our technology team!
Thank you, Steve, for creating a safe and dependable network for our students and staff.
Your superpowers (dependability, focus, kindness, and critical thinking skills) truly make a difference!
