Amelia Earhart Elementary School kicked off the new school year with a Super Mario-themed opening assembly that left students and staff buzzing with anticipation for the year ahead. The school, known for its creative and engaging annual assemblies, once again raised the bar by combining the beloved world of Super Mario with its core values.
As the sun rose on their new academic year, the school’s front entrance transformed into a scene from the Mushroom Kingdom, with Admin Staff members donning costumes of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and even Amelia Earhart herself. Their vibrant costumes and warm greetings set the tone for an eventful morning.
The assembly occurred in the school’s auditorium, where students eagerly gathered, wide-eyed and excited. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a carefully crafted video. This cinematic adventure starred the principal and the admin staff, taking the audience through the magical Mushroom Kingdom. They encountered challenges and new experiences throughout their adventure, learning valuable life lessons.
The video’s storyline emphasized the importance of trying new things and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. As they navigated the challenges of the Mushroom Kingdom, the characters in the video showcased the value of determination, teamwork, and the willingness to embrace the unknown.
After the charming video concluded, the school unveiled the year’s theme song: “Try Everything.” With a motivational video with sports clips and other incredible representations of the human spirit, the admin encouraged their students to take on new challenges this school year.
