Kimberly Boyd, a dedicated health teacher at Shoreline Middle School, recently received a mini-grant from the Provo City School District Foundation to purchase new CPR dummies. The updated equipment will ensure students receive CPR training using current, realistic models—better preparing them to respond in real-life emergencies.

Boyd, who is nearing retirement, sees the grant as more than just a classroom upgrade. For her, it’s an investment in the future.

Her focus is firmly on the students who will fill her classroom long after she’s gone. By updating critical health education tools like CPR dummies, Boyd is working to leave her classroom in top shape for the next generation. It’s a final act of dedication from a teacher who has spent her career putting students first.

The new equipment will be used by hundreds of students in the coming years, giving them hands-on experience with tools that reflect current medical training standards. Thanks to Boyd’s commitment and the support of the Provo City School District Foundation, Shoreline Middle School’s health program will remain strong and up to date well into the future.
