“Kristin Soerensen is the type of teacher I aspire to be like,” shared Ezri Klepich, Centennial Middle School Physical Education Teacher. “She is a teacher I aspire to be like, and I hope that other teachers can demonstrate her passion and love for the job, too.”
These heartfelt words describe Student Government and Yearbook Teacher Kristin Soerensen, who was recently recognized with the Provo Way Award. The Provo Way Award is a monthly recognition from the Provo City School District and Board of Education, celebrating individuals who go above and beyond to create positive, supportive environments for students and staff.
Kristin’s dedication to her role is reflected in all she does; it’s seen in her work ethic, and the countless hours she devotes to her school. “She’s often at the school late, ensuring everything is just right,” Ezri shared. “She always puts the individual first.”
Kristin is described as a “doer”—prompt, efficient, and passionate about her work. “She has that groove of an exceptional educator down,” Ezri added. “Her passion for the job is contagious. I hope other teachers can see her example and be inspired to show the same kind of love and care.”
Thank you, Kristin, for living the Provo Way and being an inspiration to your community. Congratulations on this well-earned recognition.
