On Wednesday, September 18, Franklin Elementary hosted a special event in collaboration with Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) and Operation Warm Coat. MACU and our school volunteers worked together to ensure every K-6 student received a brand-new winter coat.
Volunteers took each student individually to find the perfect color and style specifically fitted for each child. Afterward, the children signed their names on an inner patch within the jacket.
For some of our students, this is their very first winter coat. We thank MACU and Operation Warm Coat for providing such a generous and thoughtful gift. As the fall approaches, we can rest assured knowing our Franklin students are cozily bundled up, thanks to the support of our caring community partners.
