Amy King, a special educator at Edgemont Elementary School, has been selected for Brigham Young University Counseling Psychology & Special Education Department’s Excellence in Mentoring award.
The Excellence in Mentoring award is given to exemplary teachers who convey a positive attitude toward the profession and have demonstrated a strong commitment to helping teacher candidates acquire the skills necessary to become effective special educators.
“I consider it a privilege to be able to work with the intern teachers from BYU. I love their enthusiasm, new ideas, and willingness to jump in and get started! They make me a better teacher,” King said.
