Cultural clothing, candies and fun facts from over 45 countries were displayed by 6th grade students at Provost Elementary on March 9, 2017 at their world fair.
Students chose a country, many of which had ties to family or friends, and researched demographic information and cultural customs. They presented their findings with visual displays, food samples, digital presentations and websites they coded themselves.
These 6th graders learned HTML coding and used it to create their country’s custom website. Visitors could scroll through the websites to see pictures and learn more about the country the students researched. The students implemented their new technology skills into this effective learning experience.
Classes from other grades filed through the fair, filled with questions and curiosity. Students explained fun facts they learned with fellow peers.
