Provo Peaks Elementary students were excited to welcome Provo Mayor John Curtis into their school last week.
Curtis came to the school to award prizes to winners of an art contest held on civility and politeness as part of the school’s Kindness Club. While visiting, the mayor officially joined the school’s kindness club and even received a Kindness Club t-shirt to commemorate the event.
All Provo Peaks students and parents are welcome to participate by attending the club meetings. Currently there are about 141 students and over 50 staff members who have joined the club. The theme for this year is “Catch the Kindness”, which was kicked off during lunch last week with students completing over 350 acts of service.
Thank you to John Curtis for visiting Provo Peaks and for participating in Kindness Club!
